with New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene
NEW YORK, NY -- March 18, 2014 -- Karat Medical clinic received the highest mark from New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
Earlier this year, the Karat Medical clinic has been certified for compliance with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYCDHMH). After study of the treatment process and the back office organization Karat Medical received the highest score. This puts the clinic on the list of the best New York medical facilities.
Such multifaceted certifications are held every 3-5 years and are mandatory for all medical offices. The inspecting official is usually a high-class specialist with extensive training in the field of health-care legislation. In addition, data/documentation inspector is endowed with extraordinary powers, including the option of suspending and/or closing medical practices not in accordance with New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
Having carefully reviewed the documentation and organization of the therapeutic process in Karat Medical clinic, inspectors did not reveal any violation or non-compliance with the rules of New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Thus, the clinic of Dr. Alexander Karat successfully passed the certification, once again confirming the highest level of patient care and compliance with all the requirements in the field of medicine.

In late 2013, Dr. Alexander Karat participated in the 8th Interdisciplinary World Congress on Low Back and Pelvic Pain, held on October 27-31, 2013 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Congress gathered about 1,500 leading medical experts from around the world. Alexander Karat was the only Russian-speaking specialist representing the United States at the event.
Most recently, Alexander Karat participated in the 30th anniversary meeting of The American Academy of Pain Medicine, held on March 6-9, 2014, in Phoenix, AZ.
